Taro Plast is proud to announce its entry into the automotive air duct market with Pibiflex® B50714T, a new thermoplastic copolyester elastomer (TPC-ET) developed for modern turbocharged engine systems.
Tested in collaboration with selected molders, Pibiflex® B50714T has delivered excellent results in demanding air duct applications, combining flexibility, strength and long-term durability. Its processability in blow molding allows for lightweight, integrated designs that help streamline production and reduce component complexity.
“With Pibiflex® B50714T we are offering a more complete portfolio for the automotive market,” said Pascal Tijssen, Technology Manager for TPC-ET materials at Taro Plast Group. “Alongside our proven materials for e.g. CVJ boots, body plugs, vacuum brake tubing, and jounce bumpers, this new grade gives our customers an additional high-performance option to meet today’s challenging under-hood requirements.”
Pibiflex® B50714T is designed for both hot-side and cold-side ducts, offering performance and design freedom to automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers seeking to meet the demands of compact, high-output engines.
The new material will be presented for the first time at K-Fair 2025 in Düsseldorf, where Taro Plast Group will showcase its expanded portfolio of high-performance solutions for the mobility industry.
